Horrible modification

I found this in a local sell/buy webpage. The text says it was an ovation 4 strings modified for 5 strings. What do you think?

The body looks like a guitar but the headstock looks bizarre. It is not even a Ovation headstock, not even with the top chopped out.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the stock E tuner wasn't to be trusted with a B?

Maybe strings were placed like that above the nut so they wouldn't interfere with one another.


Note the post winding directions of the thinnest two strings...

Something not good is obviously happening around that headstock area.
