Horror movies

It's based on a Clive Barker story, so it gets a little weird like the rest of his stuff. I say rent it just for the kills, then buy it if you like it.

Ok guys, now I need a little help from you. I was just at a local store eyeing up two movies. One is Blue Sunshine, and the other is The Ninth Configuration. Anybody seen/own these? What did you think? You can only trust imdb so much.:D

Yeah Clive Barker can be a bit weird as well as intense. I have read a few of his books and :eek:

Never heard of either of those movies.

Hehe. I swear someone was watching too much "Black Hole" after playing too much "Doom" when they decided to make that movie. Still pretty awesome tho.

The only 2 movies that I haven't seen, but would like to, are: "Exorcist" and "Arachnophobia".

I was quite afraid of spiders (and lot of other things) at one point, but that has since changed :D

Arachnophobia is a cute movie, but you haven't seen The Exorcist?:eek::scowl: Man, I thought that one was a horror staple for sure!

Me too. That's probably the fifth or sixth time I've watched it. Good flick.

I haven't seen Arachnophobia in years. It's one of those that I want to pick up again, and if I recall correctly it's almost as humorous as it is horrifying.

The Exorcist though, that's a must see. Even twenty five or thirty years later.

well Green Bastard (parts unknown), it focused too much on family drama and not enough on the weird sh%^ that went on with that house. A lot of stuff from the true story were taken out and i think the movie suffered from that. Also a lot was changed from the original story. Also the movie dragged a lot and it had some bad writing and directing. It was not a good movie. And they did that crap were it focuses on say the kid looking at something and like clockwork count to 3 and something pops out at the volume jumps, just a run of the mill flick.

Peace...btw Bubbles is awesome.

Do any of you remember a 1992 horror-comedy loaded with gruesome bloody gore called "DEAD ALIVE" from Peter Jackson?

It's kind of a New Zealand screwball version of "Night of the Living Dead"

"DEAD ALIVE" has been touted as "The Goriest Horror Movie Ever Made"

If you like demented, horror-comedy movies loaded with bloody gore ... watch this bloodbath splatterfest if you get the chance ... its worth it just for the special effects & laughs ;)

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will skip that one, or save it my netflix list.

Man I have to see some new horror flicks. All my stuff is getting stale. I think I have Dead Alive on one of those cheesy 50 movie collections I have so Ill have to check that out this weekend.

Haunting in CT is a no go eh? Shame - I was looking forward to that one.
