I think I have Dead Alive on one of those cheesy 50 movie collections I have so Ill have to check that out this weekend.

Remember - I said it was a seriously demented gruesome horror-comedy with a literal bloodbath (near the end). The movie is for the laughs, and overkill on "special effects" only

Yeah I think I have seen some parts from the movie. Campy and ridiculously excessive on the gore. If it's a Brian R Tyler staple then I call it a must see.

Watching "Ants" right now, from 1977 with the blonde from Three's Company. Talk about hokey. Heh. But it's okay, I picked up this one and Tarantulas for a buck apiece at Walmart.

+1 That movie is Lance Henricksen gold. Although, my personal favorite role of his was Ed Harley in Pumpkinhead.

I tried watching "The Grudge" for like the 6th or 7th time (again), and just can't get into it - stupid & boring IMO

I did like "The Boogey Man II" ... some good gross-outs anyway.

Saw "Let The Right One In" this weekend- really good. I also saw "Event Horizon" again finally- it's a little better than I remembered, but still not great. Some of the sound effects and moments near the end were downright cheesy. They were definitely trying for an Alien vibe, but fell a bit short.

I got my Steelbook edition of Dog Soldiers in the mail on Saturday and promptly watched it on Sunday after shooing out the in-laws. I think the Sarge going off on a tyraid with a lighter and a bottle of hair spray is my favorite part.

Is that edition any different from the standard Dog Soldiers, or are there just extra features? I loved the movie. Accents were so thick I should've watched it with subtitles on Still hoping they start making the sequel.

The only difference is the case itself. In fact, there are no special features at all. I was really hoping for a 'making of" or something. I got it from Deep Discount and didn't even know it was a Steelbook until it arrived. And +1 on a sequel, though I'm not sure how much more abuse Scotland can take from Neil Marshal
