Horror movies

It was only a matter of time before someone did a Nightmare remake. I can get into it as long as they don't butcher it all up. Lame pun not intended. :D An example of how not to do a remake is Texas Chainsaw Massacre... Anyway I love the original Nightmare so I'll be looking forward to it.

I am a horror movie fan, and just watched Dawn of the Dead for the first time. Pretty cool zombie film, but i think they could have cut it down a little bit. At the end i was kinda getting tired of it. But im excited to watch the sequel zombi!

Zombi isn't the sequel to Dawn of the Dead- Day of the Dead is, although they aren't really directly related other than existing in a zombified world. Zombi is what Day of the Dead was called internationally, and Zombi 2 by Lucio Fulci (called Zombie in America) has no relation to the Dead series whatsoever. It is a cool movie to watch though, if only for the zombie vs. shark scene :) The end is pretty boring unless you're into watching people throw a zillion Molotov cocktails, but it's worth seeing for the makeup effects (as most Fulci films are).

I tried watching both of those over the past couple months (along with some horrible ones with Dominique Swain- seems like she's in a dozen of them), and couldn't make it halfway though.

I finished watching it tonight. Not bad! It took a twist in the story line at the end I wasn't expecting, but it would have been a lot better if they hadn't used the erratic, jerky camera motion in every scene with the creature. I really didn't care for that at all.

In the special features there was a clip about recruiting a gymnast to play the part and how hard they worked on all these strange contortionist motions but it seems to have been wasted effort with the choppy final product. They probably could have hired a meth junkie off the street and spent five minutes zipping him into a rented Halloween suit.

Other than than, thumbs up.

I wish you guys could get the chance to see "Planet Terror" - It has everything one could want in a horror movie - blood, guts, gore, laughs, hot chicks, and cool music.

And a pretty good cast too: Rose McGowan - Freddy Rodriguez - Josh Brolin - Jeff Fahey - Michael Biehn - Naveen Andrews - Bruce Willis
