I found out Let the Right One In is being remade. Its gonna be directed by the dude that did Cloverfield and re titled to Let Me In. Also instead of a creepy wintery town in Sweden its gonna take place in New Mexico. Why?

I also heard that Inside and Martyrs are being remade. As well as Suspiria. I also heard old boat explosion himself, Michael Bay was gonna remake The Birds and Rosemary's Baby. Those got stopped I guess.

I don't know if they qualify as "horror" but they were more profoundly disturbing than the usual slasher/ghost/gore flick to me.

I think we'll all be disappointed by all these remakes. When has a remake ever been any good? (please answer that if you actually know of any) I have seen a few of you recommend Ichi the Killer, are there any other must see Japanese horror flicks?

The Thing remake was good. Thats all I can think of.

Oldboy if you haven't seen it. Like Ichi, it's not really a "horror" movie so much as just very disturbing mixed with unusual presentation and fun to watch. It's part of a "Vengeance trilogy" , but all the movies are stand alone (the other two being Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - which wasn't bad- and Lady Vengeance, the weakest of the 3) Oldboy was the best out of the bunch.

Audition is decent. And Tetsuo the Iron man.

The Magnificent 7 was a Remake of the 7 Samurai, but still close enough to the original I think that it qualifies, and it was a fantastic movie.

On that note - The Man With No Name trilogy was a "Remake" of Yojimbo and Sanjuro and they were pretty good. Not as good as the originals IMO but still good. Have to say I prefer Seven Samurai over Magnificent Seven too, but then I'm a really big Toshiro Mifune fan to begin with.

Just re-watched Ghoulies 1 & 2 last night. All I can say is WOW, we should take a poll on which movie series is stupider Ghoulies or Troll. It makes SYFY movies look good.

Probably been mentioned- but I keep seeing previews for a new horror movie called The Crazies (which I think is due in February)... and it looks nasty

They are doing it. They are also doing The Wolfman which I`m actually kinda looking forward to.

so today i saw a commercial for the movie Frozen, where three people are stuck on a chair lift for a couple days, and i have to say that it's the first "horror" movie i've actually wanted to see.
