Well, I did some research, and The Crazies is a remake of the Romero film......wait for it.......BY ROMERO HIMSELF.

I had heard Clive Barker wanted to remake Hellraiser. I don't know if that's gonna happen or not though.

I agree that most remakes are not good, but if a movie is going to get remade I'd like to see it done by the guy that did the original. Try to get the best of a bad situation, y'know?
I'd love to see another Phantasm, but I don't think Angus Scrimm is up to it anymore and I just don't see anyone else playing the Tall Man. Then again, I said the same thing about Freddy Krueger.

Aside from that the last horror movie I saw was Drag Me to Hell. It was good to see Raimi get back into horror and I had a lot of fun seeing it in theaters.
I've also been told that watching Paranormal Activity at home with a good sound system is pants wetting for at least half an hour after it's done.

Whats this about a Suspiria remake?
If it's done it would have to be by Argento himself but I have heard him say he never revisits his old works.
Ok I did and found a bunch of stuff about Natalie Portman and some guy talking about remaking Suspiria who is not Dario Argento. I now have zero hope for that one...
Saw the Wolfman this weekend at the theater. With the exception of a few over CGI'd monster parts and a bit of lameness near the end I really liked it. Del Toro is a good actor and of course there is Anthony Hopkins. Not his best work but he is still great. Thumbs up!
The Wolfman gets a lot of points for sticking close to the original, but its not a very good film.
On the horizon--Nightmare on Elm street reboot sounds dodgy, as does the new Resident Evil. I'm not seeing much to get excited about, aside from the fact that no-one has decided to carry through with remaking Rosemary's Baby.

Isn't Michael Bay involved with the Nightmare remake? I heard a long ass time ago that David Lynch was offered to do it. A friend told me so it could be some complete BS.
