Time to kick the tires on this thread and see if we can get it rolling again. Speaking of tires, last night I watched The Car. Invalid Link Removed
I first saw this movie on tv when I was home "sick" from school around the age of 12. I'm not gonna give a review of the film since I'm not any good at it. I'll just say I like the movie and if you're a fan of 70's horror like I am, check it out.
anyone looking forward to Zombieland?
+1. Was that Sam Niel? The guy from Jurassic Park? That looks much better than the title would suggest.
This being the first horror flick I've seen in 5 years, I just got done seeing Hostel.
I don't think I really need to say anything else.
How's Hostel 2 compare to the 1st? I kindof wanna watch the first one again.
Definitely looking forward to Zombieland. Thanks for mentioning Tokyo Zombie, Bryan. I forgot about that one. I'll have to make time for Splinter too. It looks pretty good.
EDIT: I just finished watching RZ's Halloween 2. What can I say that won't get me banned From TB? Buffers in place, ok. I think Zombie may have had an acid trip with David Lynch before he made this movie. Double-you tee eff was he thinking? I hated what Zombie did to Loomis. Donald Pleasance as the original Dr. Loomis is one of my favorite characters and seeing Malcolm McDowell as this versions Dr. Loomis was downright painful. McDowell played the part well, but I hated the character.
Michael Myers? Oh boy. Don't we already have one masked homicidal man-child with mommy issues? And now he has "dialogue"? I liked him so much better as a silent killer. Oh, I almost forgot, he can now project his hallucinations onto Laurie Strode. What? Yeah, you'll see. By the way, they ruined that character too.
On the upside, some of the visuals were pretty cool and uhh..... Well, that's about it for the upside. Wait, that's not true. Other positives are the end of the movie, as in when the credits finish rolling and that RZ won't be making Halloween 3. The bummer there is that The Weinsteins have annouced that they will make a Halloween 3 with a new director. They're gonna jump on the 3D bandwagon for that one. I'm already cringing.
Now I'm really scared of what Zombie is gonna do to The Blob.
