I had a very attractive woman ask me to go to her hotel after a gig. My wife was standing next to me and the woman walked up and asked what I was doing now that the show was over. She mentioned that she had a hotel room near by. I politely told her that I was going home with my wife. She then asked about the guitar player. I said " He's over there with his wife. Why don't you go ask him". At that point she left. My wife then asked "How often does that happen?" I responded with "Not often enough or maybe once too often. It all depends on your point of view".

Not bass related, but a woman hit on me 2 hours before I was going to get married.... slipped me a note saying "I don't normally do this, but there is something about you..." and asking me to call her. I was wearing my tux, for crissakes.

At least that's better than the time I was with my lady in NYC and a hooker propositioned me. She just said "how about it?" and quoted her going rate. I said I'm with her, and put my arm around my GF. The working woman smiled and said that was cool by her. She "liked girls too," so "same price."

Only in NYC. :smug:

do you wear an engagement ring? i ask because many guy friends of mine have never been hit on by chicks in their lives till other women realized that they had a wife/fiance/steady girlfriend.

Looking back now I realize I was chased by girls from my teens thru my late 20's but was either too oblivious to see it or I had my head buried under a hood somewhere, swapping cams and carburetors. While my friends were chasing skirts I was chasing a lower et slip at the track.

Fast forward to 49 and I still get hit on occasionally. Nice gesture, but I'm happily married..... and still swapping cams & carbs looking for that extra tenth of a second.

Thanks pcake, I put my complete failure with hot girls (well any girls really) down to just being a dork, I never considered that not wearing a ring was the reason. (I never wore a ring after getting one hooked up on something and was so close to losing a finger.)

Be careful what you ask for! Proud to say I've never cheated on my wife. Not always easy. BUT I've seen too many folks totally screw (see what I did there?) up their lives by thinking with their genitalia, and not their brain. I didn't get married until my thirties (read between the lines). When I said "I do" I was ready.
