How do I clean sick from my Shergold?

That's a great mental image to bestow upon us all, thanks :p!

When they make the film of your life, Fassa, I think that they should get Elizabeth Hurley ;) (Jack Black in drag would be funnier, though ;)) to play the part of you, fumbling to get your bass off.

I can just picture the scene where she lifts the bass over here head and the strap snags on her watch, pulling it right up in front if her face, so that she's forced to watch the seconds ticking away the count down to "launch time" :(. During all of this, her stomach would be gurggling loudly over the top of the soundtrack :D.

Hmm, which song could they use for that part, I wonder ?

The Beatles - "She Loves Spew (yeah, yeah, yeah)",
R.E.M. - "Barf a World Away",
Jackson 5 - "Bile Be There",
The Kingsmen - "Huey, Huey",
Good Charlotte - "Keep Your Hands Off My Hurl"

Did I forget any :smug:?

LOL That was all so bad....funny though but bad LOL

I'm just really surprised that this topic has received 6 pages of replies so far..

My first thought when I read this a day or two ago was surprise that anyone needed to be told what to do when they've puked on something.. Clean it up, as fast as possible.. That's it..

Find the most non abrasive rag you can and possibly lightly moisten it, don't leave it drenched so that you get lots of water all over your bass. Take your lightly moistened non abrasive rag or towel, and clean your "sick" up..

Duran Duran - "Hurls on Film"
Vera Lynn - "Vo mit again"
Four Tops - "Throw up, I'll be there"
Boston - "More than a feeling"

Fassa, give it up. The guys are going to tease you so bad about this. You might as well kick back and have a laugh too. I know it was your baby you yakked on -- I'd be beside myself if I happen to do that on my T40 or my Pbass or any of the others. But I think once I got over being hurly and cleaned everything up, I'd laugh. You have actually done something with your bass not many people can say they have.

If it makes you feel any better, one night I was sleeping away..one of my birds made a weird noise. I woke up and just kept a nightlight on to go check on the bird. To get to the cage I had to walk by my basses and my practice amp. Well earlier I had moved said amp out to play and forgot to move it back. I walked straight into it, came nose to beak with one of my birds who was like W.T.F. O_O, crashed into my Dyna bass (which took the brunt of the hit) which went into my Foundation that smashed into a Brownsville Bat I had at the time that went into the T40..My five string said 'screw this' and went the other way so here I am trying not to fall on my face, on my bird, get untangled from the amp, grab my fiver and stop all the others from destroying each other.

When it was over, I had a bruise on the inside of my arm the perfect shape of one of the horns on my Dyna, I blew out the passive setting on the EQ on it so now it only works with the setting on and a good 9V, had rug burns on my knees and one hand....a small ding in the T40 and a scratch on the foundation4....

I got razzed about it by my friends locally for while on that one....pffft...

What happened was that I realised I was going to throw a technicolor snake and tried to get the bass off. Somehow the bass strap, being longer than usual, wrapped around my watch and by the time I got it off, it was too late.
Ah, a prime scenario for turning the other cheek, barfing on yer buds and see who really loves ya!

And, if you have the time, go for the lead guitar player every time...they need it more than they know!
