How do yall deal with hate?

Honestly ,how will it affect the rest of your life to be 100% finished with these people?

I would 100% ignore them ... That will drive them nuts and allow you peace.

Its been a couple of months and I'm still getting "hate mail". Every so often, a mutual friend (of mine and said person) will send me a message (via skype, text, or facebook) that pretty much says that I'm a worthless a-hole/scum of the earth.

I was able to ignore the first couple, but its starting to get to me now. Some of these people, previously, I would have called 'good friends'. Kinda sucks. Since there no way I can go back in time to stop myself from doing what I did, how do I deal with the consequences?

PS: I didn't kill anybody's dog or burn a house down. Its honestly not that big of a deal but I'm dealing with teenage girls so...

I went through a similar situation at that age myself. The only difference is that the 3rd party wasn't a girl but a dude, and instead of sending me hate mail he tried to put his fist through my face :D You kids the days have it easy.

I wouldn't say that.
I'd say they tend to be very self-centered and completely oblivious to people's lives around them, unless it serves their interests.

Of course, I'm talking about the scumbag type of individuals here, not about people worth friendship.

The situation for him is already screwed up, any thing he does is going to only make it worse in some regard, EXCEPT ignoring it and let it go away. Fighting back makes it worse, and I gather either he or the girls he's talking about are not the type of people one would want to associate with in the future, so trying to glue it back together isn't going to fix things either.

Bingo. Nothing else said here really matters. There is no reasoning with a teenage girl. You just have to wait her out. She is not a sane person right now. She won't be until she's a grandmother (right before she loses her freaking mind again). Good luck.
