How do yall deal with hate?

Show them how "scummy" you are and do whatever was done worse.

Maybe then they'll see what good labeling does.

NOT!!......

as said....turn the other cheek....a soft answer USUALLY turneth away wrath, but when dealing with teenage girls....maybe not.

you've gotten good advice (for the most part) here....i say, send the offended party an email...apologize again.....and then move on...nothing you can do, and continuing to worry with it will only mess up your life

The Key element in the OP is "I'm dealing with teenage girls here"....lol
really, there is nothing you can do but let time take it's course. Soon something more
targetable than you will come across their facebook page and they'll move on.

So basically there was a situation with another human being a while back... I screwed up and hurt their feelings. I was indeed rather inconsiderate, I will say. Since then I've sincerely apologized and offered to make it up to them, so long as I don't get sucked up into any drama. I don't like drama.

Its been a couple of months and I'm still getting "hate mail". Every so often, a mutual friend (of mine and said person) will send me a message (via skype, text, or facebook) that pretty much says that I'm a worthless a-hole/scum of the earth.

I was able to ignore the first couple, but its starting to get to me now. Some of these people, previously, I would have called 'good friends'. Kinda sucks. Since there no way I can go back in time to stop myself from doing what I did, how do I deal with the consequences?

PS: I didn't kill anybody's dog or burn a house down. Its honestly not that big of a deal but I'm dealing with teenage girls so...

Thanks guys

People make mistakes and sometimes those people can be us, ourselves.
If people can't get over that, then theyre not worth concering yourself with.

Here's an inspirational quote:

Reply to the hate mail by saying something nice.

And you could always do this. It throws people off guard. Dont give in to the haterade.

Ah so being whipped is a good way to go?

For real, girls are hypersensitive, especially in their teens (and lately up into their mid twenties as far as I can see).

Sometimes learning how "bad" they got it a second time might make them learn how little of a thing they overreacted to.

It's all about "who ____ed me" with this generation. Self victimization gets attention, and that's what it's all about.

Hoo boy this must be tough for you. A lot of good advice here. I know love conquers all things but sometimes it just takes so darn long. Take comfort in the knowledge that at some point in the near future your life is goint to change dramatically and you may never see these people again. Meanwhile blocking them is a good idea.
Also enjoy your life despite these people. Go out and have fun whatever that looks like for you, trying to not letting them affect you is the best way to proceed.

Fighting back accomplishes nothing other than him running the risk of looking like a dick (again perhaps), and making the situation worse. You cannot reason with a teenage girl, nor can you really reason with a teenage boy, and retaliating does nothing other than to further prove she and her compatriots are right.

Tommy you tried to make amends; you did your part. IT may feel like crap to lose friends but you will probably just have to let it go for the time being. Respond with something nice like Phil said, maybe apologize again, and cut ties politely.

The other option is to take a look at scorpion's posts concerning women....if you want those results, take his advice
