How do you buffer your signal?

All of my boards (Pedal Train pro, 2, and 1) have a small (2x4") buffered router. I plug my bass into IN1. OUT1 goes to a parallel looper input. All pedals are in the loops. The looper output goes back to IN2 of the buffered router. OUT2 goes to my rack head.

To use a board I plug in the power cable, bass into one plug, and amp into the other plug; ready to go. If I really torque on a cable or catch it on something it will yank on the buffered router box and not an expensive pedal.

It's also super clean; designed specifically for any Pedal Train board. It mounts under the back left part of the board, mounts flush, so all you see are two 1/4" plugs, and takes maybe 10 minutes to install (and can be used with a Voodoo PP2+ without getting in the way).
 
AC. I'm interested in what I'm seeing with the adapter next to the Micro Thump. It looks like there is some sort custom AC outlet action happening. Looks great.

Ah, OK. Got it. The PT Jr. has two holes cut out of its front side. If you're looking at the board from the bottom, the hole on the left is for the Supa-Charger's (or other power supply's) IEC power cord. You can see the Supa-Charger cord in this photo:

On my board, the Supa-Charger powers everything except the Effectrode PC-2A compressor, which needs its own power supply. All I did was use (strong!) double-sided tape to secure the Effectrode wall wart in place, with its prongs sticking through the second hole in the front side of the Pedaltrain. Here's the best picture I've got of that area:

I use an extension cord similar to this (but ungrounded), to plug into the wall wart and run to the, uh...wall!

It's proven to be a pretty sturdy setup, so far. The only downside is having to plug two power cords in for my one pedalboard. I usually end up using a power strip or three-to-one adapter. Hope this helps!
 
I never did! I've been concentrating on school lately and haven't been dumping money into my signal chain as of late. While this is about to change, I don't foresee the buffer+ in my near future. Though if I had the expendable income I did when I originally posted, I would give it a shot. Do it and tell me what you think! :):):)
 
Say you have an active bass and 3-4 true bypass pedals, like i do. None of them are always on. Would you then still plug in to the active input of your amp when leaving your pedal board?

My guess is yes, because only the high register is degraged on the way and having more decibels in the passive input won't save that...

I'm seriously considering a buffer even though i have an active bass because i've noticed my sound has gotten muddier by the pedals. I used to play without any before, going straight to the amp. Would you place the buffer first or last on the pedal board? I suppose i could test that but what do you think would technically make most sense?
 
Well, first of all I voted on the wrong option, should have chosen the last one: "Passive bass into both True Bypass and Buffered pedals" instead of "Passive bass into both True Bypass and Buffered pedals".

It's totally incidential though, never knew I needed a buffered pedal.

Here is my signal chain:

Bass>> EHX Black Finger (always on) > EHX Tube Zipper (used as fuzz) > Loop A of Boss LS-2 (A dirt + B clean set to about 12 o'clock) > Zoom B3 > Boss MT-2 > Boss FV-50H > Hartke VXL Bass Attack (always on) >> Behringer Eurolive B212
