How do you get banned from TalkBass?

That's actually me, I worked as a headband model for a while, but found the job too restricting and moved on. Also had trouble getting chicks.


By the way, I'm a big Colombo fan. Great avatar.

That comic illustrates the best way to get information on the internet - don't ask a direct question, just post up some misinformation related to your topic of interest and a lurking know-it-all will invariably come and correct you. It'd be pretty troll to actually do this, but trolling the types of people who spend their days correcting the internet doesn't strike me as such a crime - it's like ripping off Wal-Mart or something.

Nah that's just a face full of excitement at the prospect of finally having the chance to posses someone. Rubber bands exposing inner lips are more frightening.

A few examples of how the ban may happen:
- When one is way to passionate about whether or not it would take $100k to retool a bass manufacturing line for 17mm string spacing (seems reasonable)
- Condoning speaker desegregation
- Confronting and setting straight those who are incorrect about the most superior amp topology
- Way too much passion about faux brand decals
- Not understanding opinions are not facts

There seems to be a pattern here so I think continuing would be pointless.

I have concluded the best use of this thread would be to post links of the threads that result in someone getting bannished.

Solves two problems. Shows how to get banned. Keeps me from having to dig to find who was a bad kid this week and what they did wrong

I'm the OP.

Just want to encourage folks to not take my "thinking aloud" thread starter to seriously. Good for us to keep our sense of humor, as always.

I read once, think it was a moderator, that reminded people, if you don't like a thread, there's a few other ones you could move on to.

Most of the folks who get banned have terminal cases of "it's not me it's them!" syndrome.

If you are capable of seeing how you could be at fault in any sort of antagonistic situation, and through that process able to apologize or steer yourself back in the right direction, there's a good chance you'll never get banned or even warned.
