How do you make your living?

I work at the local TrueValue hardware store though I don't really have a title. My job mainly consists of putting together product displays and assembling the products for those displays (grills, wagons, etc.), though I end up doing a lot of customer service tasks as well. I thoroughly enjoy my job: it's so much better when you enjoy your job than when you hate it.

-I work for British Airways as a "Customer Service Agent", luckily I never see any of the passengers, mostly I handle cargo and drive between the airplanes and different offices all day. I never get bored, seems like there is always something going on here. It's not the job I dreamed of in School but I like it. Anyway, the Union pay-scale, benifits and pension are sweet.
-Also I've been in the Army National Guard (11-B & 11-C) for a little over 3 years. Don't realy make much $ there but I like all that hooah **** Invalid Link Removed Been deployed twice, NTC & CMTC (that was just as hard as Ft. Benning)!

I mooch off my parents. Pretty easy. $25/week, AND they dont make me pay for most stuff, because theyre old and they forget. Aaaahhh....living with your parents rules, monatarily. I guess ill live at home til 30! (Chicks love that!) :D

i do software devlopment, contract jobs. work a couple months, then off a couple months. very flexible schedule. in the meantime i am trying to finish up our recordings so that i can give up my US$60.00/hr contract jobs in favor of driving around in a stinky van with 3 other stinky guys playing in a bunch of stinky bars and selling our not-stinky cds. :D

Hey neptoon, it's good to see a fellow squid here on the board. I'm stationed at SIMA out here in San Diego. I'm a Hull Tech. I may be surface Navy but I've been doing a lot of work on Los Angeles class subs Lately. Remember Hunt For Red October? I did some inspections on the actual sub used for that movie. I'm a Quality Assurance inspector who plays with radiation (as opposed to the regular dirty work HTs). Have fun on shore duty and relax a bit.

Any gigs available for you down there?

I'm a maintenance mechanic for Bose corp (the speaker people) for 18 yrs. Jack of all trades master of none.
Great place to work and a endless supply of musicians last yrs Bose jam turned out 20 in house made up bands. It gets bigger and bigger every yr, it startd out 6 yrs ago in someones basement and now we have to rent a local hall to fit not only the bands but the 300 people who come and watch.
