How long have you played? :)

Been a muso all my life (keys since aged 5, vocals since 12... Now 38 ). Ex husband had a bass that I played more than he a few years back, but I never really put my mind to it. Four weeks ago I bought a purple Gypsy Rose bass (I'm a girlie with small hands) for a messabout on a whim after messing with bass lines on my fiance's acoustic guitar (playing a**e about face as he's a leftie - so am I in everything else but I play right handed). I enjoyed it so much that about a week later I bought an Ibanez AFB200 too. My fingers are shiny and sore but I'm loving it.

I started bass in '67, after 5 years on keys, RCM, etc. Good system, but no fun.
Would you believe that the bass & a double 15" cab with head felt more portable?
Anyway, I think rtslinger & I are about the same.............it's a looooooooong time!

2 weeks. I'm a blues saxophonist, but recently borrowed a bass from a friend to experiment and have caught the bug, bought a bass, etc. Nice to have something I can practice in the house while the kiddos are sleeping.

I'm enjoying lurking around here, learning what I can. Nice community you got here.

Started playing guitar at about 5 years old, played till I was 11, and give it up, I just fell out of love with it... then when I was 15 years old, I saw Stuart Zender on TV, and I just new that I wanted to be as cool as him. 15/16 years later and I'm still trying!

i started playing bass at 17 , in 1973 , and i'm 55 now ...
so yeah , 38 years later , no signs of slowing down .
