I was under the impression that OP was talking about a 2x10 combo stacked on a 2x10 combo. Both the combo and the matching cab are pretty efficient.

Stacked on a 2x10 extension cabinet not a combo.
But he has found something else now.

I’ve lurked a bit, great knowledge on the forum, need advice, first post.

I am ampless. Need to buy a loud rig, keeping it in the 1 - 1.5k range.

The band is a LOUD original rock band, 2 100 watt guitarists, very loud drummer.

I am wondering if a Rumble 500c + Rumble 2x10 will keep up with a seriously loud band. Yes there is a PA w/ a sub, but let’s pretend there is no PA support.

Yes yes yes, we should turn down… yes yes yes, no one should be that loud… yes yes yes, you’re happy your not going to the shows… I get all that. But…

Will a Rumble 500c + 2x10 keep up? Truly???
If not, will the 800?

I've had an R500H with 2 210 cabs and that is a LOUD setup. I mean LOUD. It may be possible that it isn't loud enough for your situation but I have to say if it isn't, you need to invest some bucks in your rig. When the 800H came out I gave the 500h to my brother but the 800h and the 2 210s didn't seem to me too much louder than the 500, it just offered more options, like 2 ohm operation and more pro options. I'd go with it. You can always reconfigure but the Rumble option is very cost efficient. If money is no problem there is always MESA.

A 410 set up is more than what most people need, normally. If your band is really that loud, you won't get called back. But, you'll also need 810s. Or, 412s. But, 810s

My reality is that if you can draw a crowd, you will find places that will let you do what you want, how you want, as loud as you want, as often as you want.

Yep. We had a regular rotation of ringer special guests at a weekly residence, mostly touring sidemen and heavy hitters back home on leave.

One guy in particular was a badass heavyweight guitarist (he brought Eric Gales with him one night) who was LOUD loud. I told the venue owner the guy was available for another date and got the "he's too loud" response. So I asked him to look at his ring receipt total for the last time Mr. Too Loud played and let me know. I got a text the next day asking when he'd be back so the owner could start promoting it.
