How low do you wear your bass?

it's funny, i can't seem to settle on an exact position... every time i play i seem to adjust it up or down by a hole or two on my strap but i think i definitely fall into the "low" category... i'm a pick player, and it feels most natural to let my arm extend itself about 3/4 of the way. any higher than that and i start to feel really cramped, to accommodate my hand position my elbow ends up jutting out really far to the side making me look like an awkward chicken.

Some people say I where my bass low, but to me it's waste high.

found a pic (that's me with the T-40). this was one of my "bottom hole" days. i think i typically play about 2" higher than this, or 2 peg holes up on my strap.

One thing I like about playing at this height: when a significant amount of the bass is touching my upper thigh I find it easier to dance around the stage. I can use my leg to direct where the bass is going. I find if it's several inches higher, or more inbetween my upper thigh and torso, it gets in the way of my movement. Moving it much higher would probably resolve the issue, but my arm position wouldn't work for pickstyle.
