I have an Ampeg V4B I bought 2nd hand, a Roland Cube 60 I bought new and two bass practice amps found in a dumpster and an alley.

I've had about 24 amps in total. 8 were gigged a lot, the rest came and went. 90% of these amp purchases happened after I discovered the internet!!!

currently I own only the Rumble 500 and the Orange Micro Dark. The Micro Dark works pretty well for bass to my ears. It’s only 20 watts, so it’s nice for lower volumes than the Rumble will play.

Few. Amps were never of much importance to me. It is a stage monitor for bass players. Kind of a necessary evil. Didn't do any gigs without a PA, besides private concerts.
When Markbass offered the Little Mark for the first time, I initially bought it and still own it.
Prior to it, I had a Warwick amp that had about 250 watt and was like 40 lbd.

When I had more gigs, I bought the Markbass CMD 121 combo amp. Still like the sound. My favourite speakers are two old Yamaha BBT 110, which I initially bought for the Markbass head and an Ampeg Portaflex. Never liked the SVT speakers, although I owned a 4x10 long ago. Never want to carry it again.

But I'm one of those, who always record straight to the board. I love outboard gear much much more than amps.

Spinning off the basses thread, curiosity killed the cat- satisfaction brought it back.
Many of the members have more in a single room than I have had in over 55 years all together. Feel free to add how long and any you sold and want back, modified, new or used.
My total is only seven of which I still have three.

What about cabs? I feel a good step above average on that one

Ampeg B25 (still have head, sold the 2x15 cab)
Gk400rb which I used with Hartke xl15 and xl 4x10
Switched head to a Hartke 2000 in the 90s sometime.
Hartke 2x10 combo
Still have all of that
Now use a Genzler Magellan 800 with SLT12-3 and STR12-3 cabs
So I guess that counts as 5?

I’ve owned 8, I think, roughly in this order:

Fender Rumble 25

Of course the Dual Showman isn’t a bass amp but that’s what I used it for. Played some guitar through it as well. The Peavey Century did a lot of gigs as a monitor amp.

I still have no’s. 6, 7, and 8.

I’ve owned about 9, not counting practice amps or cabinets.

First real amp was an Ampeg BA115 combo.

Upgraded to a Hartke/SWR stack.

Started using Aguilar TH350/500 and AG700 with Aguilar and Bergantino Cabs.

Tried an Ashdown Spyder 550 and GK MB500. Stuck to the Aguilar TH500.

Picked up a used Fender Rumble 500 combo and that is my current gig rig along with an Aguilar TH500 and Bergantino HD410

I also own a ‘67 Blackface Bassman, sounds ok for bass but brilliant as a guitar amp.

I used the same rack with several different speakers. SWR Triad, Acugroove Whappo Jr.
Hartke AH3500 -> 2x10 XL & the 1x15 XL (have this rig but haven't giged with it)
Fender rumble 500C with a BFM Simplexx 1x15 (my goto rig these days.)
I also have a Ampeg pf500 I use with the old SUNN cab and a fender rumble 500 head I use with the BFM

I currently own 29 amps. The only amp in this collection I have gigged is the GK 700RB/112 combo. I started the collection after I had pretty much stopped performing. At the time I owned the GK and a 6G2 Fender Princeton.

The amp that sent me into madness was Phyrexians "Grail". SCORE!! Trace Elliot V8 coming in! ...and yes I own the actual amp mentioned in this post (it was a long drive).

I learned to play through a Blackface Fender Twin that belonged to my brother. I was the custodian of this amp for about 15 years and paid to have it serviced and updated with JBLs. Eventually I bought an MTI era Ampeg SVT that I sold around 1989. Then I worked professionally in a military band for about 25 years and they provided all of my gear for official duties. So you could probably add another 10 or so rigs that were signed out to me, but I did not technically own.

Before buying the GK I assembled a couple of rack rigs for private gigs. You can't use military gear for private gigs.

So I guess I have owned about 30-32 amps depending on how you count. If you count the rigs I have had custody over, the number is probably between 45 and 50.

I have often wondered how you got to be so knowledgable about Amplifiers
