TOO MANY. I don't want to get rid of any of them though! (Except the Ovation I hardly play it..)

All of those Peavey basses, and no Cirrus?

I've owned two Cirrus basses over the years.. Both were six strings. One walnut and one flamed maple (don't have a pic of the walnut bass).

I didn't own either when this post was made seven years ago.. In that time I've reduced my collection down to seven basses. Of that list, the only one I still own is the Mike Lull M5V.

Recently added a Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5 acoustic bass to my repertoire which makes it number 5 in my current lineup.

I know it's an old guy thing, but I just like the carpentry of neck through instruments.

when i originally voted in the poll ("5-9 basses") i had 6. and then i made the terrible mistake ( ) of acquiring a 7th.

- i felt bad/guilty (couldn't play them all in a serious rotation)
- i anguished (i've reached a numerical limit )
- i capitulated ("i must get rid of some of them!" )
- i committed (i took 3 of them apart!)

so i currently have 4 gig-worthy axes!


i'm not going to change my poll vote. i'm working on the resurrection of a 5th ax. we'll see.

I have 6 as well, 1968 Telecaster bass, Squier long scale Jaguar p/j with the stacked knobs, Epi EB-3 longscale, Fender Classic 60s Jazz nitro sunburst/tort guard, Ibby TMB100 in mint green, and an old Guild Ashbory I grabbed for $200 in 1992.
I need one more bass as well- a P bass...thinking getting a $80 Glarry P and make it a project!
