I just received mine this past Tuesday. I love it. I got the red. It's in the shop getting the barrel jacket replaced. It was cutting in and out. I do love the bass though
I bought this one from Sweetwater for 699 in the door and thought that was a hell of a deal. Great sounding and love the neck. I have a MIA Jazz and don't really care for the P so this really did the job.
Wow, you did get a great deal! Is it a 13 or 14? I got mine from AMS. First time I ever had a problem with anything from them. They took money off the price from my trouble. I also just picked up a Yamaha BB 424X super cheap. It was a demo. Couldn't pass it up.
It's a brand new 13 with the HSC lined in white. Got the last one and plays and sounds great. Really happy, I couldn't buy an offshore bass for that.
Six basses right now ( should be listed below) and one bought, paid for and on the way from Sweetwater.. A Musicman Stingray HH, unfortuniately there being made and wont be there till Dec.

Six, but my numbers go up and down. In the beginning I wanted to buy different kinds/types (fretless, shorty, AEB etc). As with strings, I have started to zero in on what I like and don't like. Got rid of an acoustic-electric because it's not comfortable - too big and no contours. Also dumped a nice Steinberger paddle bass for the same reason - ergonomics. Same with my Allen Woody. Great tone, but very uncomfortable vs a Fender (not to mention the ******** Gibson bridge design).
Current line-up (all strung BEAD except for the 5 string and the Mustang):
- Stingray HH 4 (primary)
- G&L M3500 (5 string with a third pickup added)
- SpectorCore 4 with twin audere preamps (fretless)
- Mustang with 3 band audere preamp (short scale)
That list covers all the basses, but GAS always gets the better of me, so there are two others that I keep in the bedroom with a secondary amp.
- Franken Jazz with four pickups and a 4 band audere preamp (cuz everybody needs a J bass)
- Warmoth 72 P with 4 band audere preamp (cuz everbody needs a P bass)
The Mustang is my only bass without contours and would be first to get cut from the lineup both for that reason and the fact that I'm not sure I really need a short scale. When you string BEAD you can treat the 5th fret as "home" and it becomes easier than a shorty to play. I predict it will appear in the classifieds within a year - next time I'm GAS-ing for something new and need to help fund it.
Just two amp rigs. Markbass 1x12 combo and 1x12 extension for one and the other is a newish Alain Caron 121 Lite which is a bi-amped 600 watt combo that sounds so good that, as someone else observed, it must have a talent emulator built in because it can even make me sound good.
The 72 P is still in process and appears in a Warmoth build thread. Here's a photo of that one. I should do a new family photo when it's finished in January.

The Babicz bridge should become standard equipment on all Gibson basses. For the other models they need a special 5 pound version to offset the neck dive. Ok, sorry Gibson bass fans, maybe that's a little harsh.
Just put a new black pick guard on my MIA Jazz. I was white. I think it looks a lot cleaner.
