Actually, though, I own a Lotus P copy that is identical to a certain model Hondo P copy and it's really a pretty darn nice player. I need to work on the nut a bit, and the thing is so heavy it's as though it were made of granite, but I have a lot of fun with it.

yeah I've had the bass for about 11 years now its a little beat up but it still plays well (really bright) I usually just practice with unplugged and keep it in my room so i can play while doing other stuff. I've looked far and wide over the web looking for it to figure out what model it was.

I use to have a Peavey Fury in Candy Apple Red that looked exactly like this one (someone who is or was on here posted this in January 2012, I just found this in a Google search):

It was the first bass I ever bought when I started in August of 1988 for $147 It's long gone now, though.

I hate that attitude, but in a way have been guilty of it myself. I have made comments about how I used to own large numbers of guitars and basses and it got to be a drag so now I'm happy owning minimal amounts of gear. I have one acoustic and one electric guitar, and two basses.

But I never meant to imply there was anything "wrong" with people who owned 5 or a dozen or fifty basses/instruments. People should do what they want and hey--what's cooler than a big bunch of guitars and basses?

There's no "right or wrong" about any of this. Different strokes and all...I love seeing people's big "family pics" of their collections or hearing about a NBD.

I find my self admiring that minimalist attitude. It's just hard to pick what stays and what should go and not kicking yourself later on. When you hear of tragedies and how unimportant so much in life is it makes you wonder. You also don't want to be owned by your possessions for sure. :confused:

I'm not sure how many instruments I'd own before I think it got to be ridiculous. When you think about it, if you own 200/300 guitars (I've actually known somebody who has) or more, you'll never realistically be able to play them in any short time frame. I suppose you could play one for each day of the year, but that would be awkward, at least for me. Besides, I like to play and utilize everything I own. Then again, people do collect stuff, but I'm talking about playing use. I think I could do maybe a max of 40 or 50, but that's including all kinds of stringed instruments of different styles besides basses.

Two,

1. MIM Fender Jazz
2. Squier Matt Freeman signature Precision

I hope to never own more than two. The only reason I'd get another is I might pick up a beater that I'd use to learn how to work on (set-ups, mods, repairs, ect...)
