Hilton, your story is so sad bro! Glad you have good memories, though.
Last time I posted, in June, I had 13. The herd has increased by a couple since!:
1. Squier Affinity P, my first ax. Modded extensively, including my first defret/poly job. It buzzes a little ("waves" on the poly), but I love it. I called "Frankie", even has a "Franken-Squier" decal, and a Frankenstein neck plate!
2. 2005 Rickenbacker 4003 in "Blueburst" (color of the year). A looker, and with that unmistakable Ric growl.
3. Fender Modern Player Tele. Such a sweet blond finish.
4. 1968 Fender Coronado II, in Antigua finish. Best looking bass ever.
5. 1973 Attila Blalogh Odyssey. A 70's icon. Unbelievable construction. It weights a ton, too.
6. 1967 Raven teardrop hollowbody, Burgundy finish. Odd bass, sweet tone. Love at first sight.
7. Kala U-bass, hollow hog with Aquila strings. My little giant killer. People can't believe such a sound can come from sucha small instrument!.
8. Birdsong Sadhana, Walnut body, Maple neck, Bocote fretboard. Sexy. I actually helped build this bass, along Scott, Jake, and Brady over at their little shop right here in the middle of TX!
9. Birdsong Embrace anniversary edition, #3/8. Mesquite body, turquoise fills, Ebony fretboard, Bloodwood bridge and control plate. My favorite practice bass. So much "muuuaahhh!".
10. Bruce Johnson AMB-2 scroll bass. A masterpiece. Such "thump"!
11. Grove guitars "Teleblaster" Dupont dynamite crate top hollowbody bass. The most unique theme bass I've ever seen. People just have to touch it.
12. Harmony H22 reissue. Hollowbody sweetness, Korean made.
13. Fender Kingman acoustic. Great "late at night, all house asleep, don't want to wake the wifey" practice bass.
And my two new babies! (see them here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=922502&referrerid=202517):
14. 1963 Fender Jazz in Burgundy Mist finish. My one and only Jazz. Perfect highly-figured maple neck. And to think that that was actually considered a flaw in those days!
15. 1966 Fender Precision in Fiesta Red. That color, that tone, enough mojo for two lifetimes!
My GAS is in remission, for now.
