Whats that bass in the right bottom corner? It looks like a bass I had called a Zimgar (which was probably a Teisco) It was one of my favorite basses I've ever owned but it fell apart on me.
it's a '64 St. George.

with the market constantly changing, it's difficult to say. right now, probably around $60-70K.

yep. i only play 4 bangers, and don't own anything with more than 4 (except for my guitars

I only need 2 reasons for having more than one bass....
#1 I can afford it.
#2 I have the storage space to put them all.

My basses are MY garden of pretty multi-colored flowers, some get played, some only get looked at....
for those who own 1-2 at the most, you all are happy, and that's great.

If you ever wanna get rid of it, let me know! I miss my bass dearly so don't hesitate to PM me. I still have the electronics for the bass (which are conveniently still attached to the pickguard painted in blue house paint) and the headstock. I might have the body too but who knows. The headstock snapped off so many times it became unfixable (strings would literally pull it off the bass eventually) No repair shop would touch it since it was a cheapo.
8, all fretted, consisting of 2 fives, one active, one active/passive
and 6 fours, 3 active and 3 passive.
Its funny, after playing mainly actives since the 80's, I now find 2 of my passive 4's slowly easing ahead of a couple of the actives in the rotation. My ESP has rarely seen the light of day recently while my T-40 and SX PJ have been getting more practice time. The T-40 just seems to really fit in with the classic rock my band is doing.

Where do you keep 96 bass guitars?
Do you have a huge wall with hangers for display? Do they all live in cases stacked up in your house? Is there a warehouse for all but the ones you play regularly?
I'm thinking you have 12 eight-guitar stands, all lined up around the walls of a studio.

Two are cheap instruments that I've had forever and work great. Because I've done so much in the way of modifications to them, they are basically unsellable....
I have a Marcus Miller 4 string that I love, but I'm finding that I really like having a low B string or High C, so I want to upgrade.
I have a Fender Mexican P bass that is great, but doesn't see as much playing time as my homebuilt bass.
I have a homemade 5 string that I love, and plan on keeping forever.
I would love to sell everything except my homemade bass for a good Jazz (Nordy especially), though.
