I traded the Gibson six string for the Lakland. I do not play guitar but it is nice to have one around if someone who does drops by so I spent $69 for the mint Epiphone. I am over my self imposed 3 bass limit because I saw the midtown for a price I couldn't resist. No plans to buy anything in 2015 but I didn't plan on buying anything in 2014 so who knows?

Bought a Peavey 400B and 2x15.
Bought a DBX 166XL.

Had to double check the mancave. Yup, that's it.

The P is the first bass in a million years I've acquired new. I bought the Thunderchief on ebay with a broken headstock and had it fixed. The Overwater was acquired used.

The only thing I kept was my MTD 435 and bought a Squier Jazz.

Bought and sold: Ibby GSR 200 and a little Peavey practice amp that got my back into playing after a 15 year hiatus, this January. That lead to:

'04 Epiphone Goth Thunderbird (its not exactly a Goth anymore, but it is still black)
Ibby SR305 5 string as a project; needs lotsa work
traded some non-music stuff for my current primary, a 1988 Charvel 4B, then got EMGs for it
Jackson JS40 as another project...I think this one's gonna get sold for lack of need to use it.

I joined a band a couple months ago that lead to all this stuff, really. I kinda forgot how much fun that is; the reason I left music in the first place was diva singers and guitards that can't stop playing for any reason. I don't have any of that in this band.

This is one of the threads I need to bookmark and send to my lady...

Right around Xmas/New Years last year I traded and Ibby 506 and Carvin 2x10 for a Peavey Unity Koa - perhaps my favorite bass, so I will start there.

I think around February I picked up an Ibanez SR485 with HSC for $100 off the local CL. Fabulous deal, but not a bass I really needed, so I saved it for a buddy for his birthday present. In October! It was a long wait, but the smile on his face made it worth it! He started on bass years ago, and we have talked over the years about how he wanted to pick it up again. If I ever decide to play out on guitar, I have my bassist!

March or so I sold my Eden 410 XLT and bought a pair of Agular 112 GS's here on Talkbass.

I picked up a MIM Jazz bass for cheap off CL.

A few weeks ago on Talkbass I picked up a Godin A5 fretless! (My fiance immediately agreed that it was fundamentally different than every other bass I own, and therefore a necessity!)

I sold a bunch of upright bass things on the other side this year as well.

I have had had a couple of basses listed on my local CL this year, but they have not sold yet. I would list them on TB, but I hate packing and shipping instruments and I don't really mind keeping them

So, that's it! 4 basses and two cabs bought; 1 cab sold, 1 bass and one cab traded. I owe it all to you, Talkbass, for the never ending GAS. On the other hand, I am obviously a lightweight.
