How Many Basses?

Got 5
I love and play them all.
20160314_204758_zpstbkqrqiv.jpg

4 Rickenbackers (a 4000,cheyennes I and II,and a custom Laredo)
2 Fenders ( Am Std J,Mim P)
1 Gibson eB
1 Fernandes Gravity 8 string octave
I enjoy all of them, but i wouldn't mind paring down to just 3-4 basses that i really want to use consistently.
I also own a Danelectro guitar i should sell, because i'm lousy on guitar, and an old Alesis keyboard, which i am also mediocre on,but will never sell.

Currently?
- 19 basses. Except for 2 that are conversion-project rightys (I'm a lefty), and 2 that are in pieces for restoration/refinish - yes, I play them all.
- 6 guitars. Except for 1 restoration project, and 1 Frankenstein 12-string conversion (playable, but basically a wall-hanger) - yes, I play them all.
- A mandolin and a banjo. And yes, I play them, too... well, I try to, anyway... :)

I have a bunch of basses sometimes multiples of the same model, my excuse follows. The extra basses are backups, have different pickups, different strings. I play and record in different situations that really do need a specific bass or sometimes band mates or employers prefer one bass over another. Most of my basses have been collected over many years always at bargain prices and usually used, and frankly except for basses i will not get rid of they are not worth all that much.

I have 4. 2 Precisions, ones a anniversary model and one is a Squier and practically unplayable, as it was my first.

I also have a Stingray, a Custom Precision Bass w/ soapbars (so I guess 3 Precisions?) and one on the truck for delivery today :)nailbiting:). It's a brand new AmStd Jag from Fender

I try to play them all equally (excluding the Squier, which I just can't haha). The anniversary P gets a tad bit more playing time because I bring that to play at my school program. But here at home the Stingray and the Custom get played.

How bout you?

*i guess the nailbiting emoji isn't an emoji anymore, huh?
oh cool i hope your bass arrived safely and with no problems...i curently have 2 one that is unplayable also and one that is playable i am waiting for my design experience bass to arrive and another fender tomorrow or friday should arrive so i hear ya on the nailbiting :)
