just 2 jazz basses . . . one fretted and one fretless.

personally, it's about how much money is "out there". i'd rather have one ~$1300 bass (am std jazz), instead of 3/4 $500 basses, but it all depends on your use: do you play professionally, what types of music do you play, are any of the instruments *not-for-sale*, etc.

There are too many basses I want to try or own but
If I had to settle for a number it would be this
One 30” scale fretless
One 34” scale fretless
One upright
And after reading all those threads about how every TBer needs to own a P bass one of those too.

And back to topic, my current arsenal (after selling my awesome Aria Pro II SB-1000CB) includes:

A prototype Dean Brian Bromberg sig (ver. II, only one made)
A 1967 Fender Jaguar (my dad's)
A 1982 Fender Telecaster Custom (also my dad's)
An Epiphone Hummingbird (and a 66/67 Gibson Hummingbird on loan)
And a crappy Strunal upright for Orchestra/Jazz ensemble

How many pairs of shoes does she have compared to you? How many outfits? How much jewelry? How much makeup?

Now, how much resale value does all of her stuff have?

How bad do your basses look now...?

I currently have 3 basses, all of which are still worth what I paid for them. My wife’s collection of +/-125 pairs of shoes, not so much. She has no problem with my GAS and I have no problem with hers. We both have it, just in different ways.

12 guitars.
1 keyboard.
1 electronic drum kit.
Pedals - too many to count

But have 2 kids who also play and use a lot of the gear.

Looking to move a couple of the guitars that are not in the regular rotation.
Also would like to add a fretless bass.

I am a widower raising two kids. College is pretty much funded at this point. I have no one to answer to anymore. I have to admit that this is not necessarily a good thing. My wife made me what I was. Without her encouragement I would not have become the sucessful professional that I became. I would give up all my basses (and everything else i own) to have her back.
