Okay, you're firing off wildly, missing your target, and using too much ammunition. Go back and read my post again that you quoted, if you read it at all. The details of this case had no real bearing on the nature of the post... it was a commentary on how these events are originated and perpetrated by bad guys. That is all.

I'm represented by a ram, but I'll take a stab at this anyway: The police. That does not however mean that the police never make mistakes and are above criticism.

I still don't see that I am. You seem to be advocating a bit of an "anything goes" response to bad acts. It's their fault that we're doing bad acts?

The answer you're looking for is "law enforcement" and as usual my ram faced friend summed that up nicely. However, ultimately some of it goes down to not having too many things worth stealing. Aside from my bass gear, most of my stuff isn't particularly valuable compared to the surrounding population. I have a few Funkadelic CD's and a 25 year old car. I don't even know why I keep my girlfriend around.:|

I live moderately and avoid drama where I can. I like to think that contributes a lot to me not needing police assistance historically.

Thank you. However, you seem to advocate an attitude that cops, tasers, unequal force, and violence against criminals are all bad. Yet you want those bad cops to use bad methods and bad devices to keep you safe. Hmmm...

I honestly would prefer a system where guns and tasers were not standard carry for officers.

As soon as the criminals stop carrying guns knives, or other dangerous weapons, I'll agree with you. Until then, not a chance, as going into the unknown while being unarmed is foolhardy at best. Let's not forget that Tasers have saved far more lives than you may think, especially in suicide attempts.
