Looking Good! I'v been tossing up whether to go tort or gold on my MF. The gold looks pretty classic eh

I like both. The problem is finding an affordable tort guard. The Spitfires are nice - and it’s nice to see $150-$200 still buys you something. But that’s way more than I’m ever gonna spend just for bling.

The gold anodized aluminum guards are nicer looking in real life than they come across in photos IMO. And the extra shielding is always a plus I suppose.

The thing that was a challenge for me was finding the 13-hole version without bridge cover holes. You can find the standard 10-hole vintage one Fender sells very easily. But AFAIK, the 13-hole was only made for one MIM PB that’s since been discontinued. So it’s off to the classifieds here and the usual used gear places if you want one of those. And since I hate drilling holes in a paint finish body or having empty screw holes on a pickguard, I had to be patient and do a little digging to get one. But it was worth it in the end I think.

Yah you're right, after a quick google can't find anything. Will keep my eye out then! Thanks for the heads up.

Nice family, but I especially love the one with the tort in the middle and the fretless maple necked one on the right! drool

that's my all time favorite precision too!!

@frankzelf Very nice pictures :thumbsup:
What's your fiesta red one, an AVRI '62? or a Pino with a white PG? or a MIM 60's?

I have a Dec. 2000 AVRI '62 P in fiesta red, with two PGs (the original aged white and a tort) that I swap often. Always have wanted to own a Pino.

50€ XP P, AVRI '62, G&L SB-2
