I was thinking of getting an Excess (XS) from orndo.com, but I'm not sure those Chinese bulbs are worth it. The one I was looking at was $1.29, but by the time I added in a shade and shipping it would be almost $3.00.
I know they are good bulbs if you want to mod them, change bases, replace the filiment, etc, but still.....

They may glow great, but I still cannot get past the shape of the bulb.

You need to find new old stock (NOS) bulbs. They're old bulbs that have never been used. They also use them to make cars go really fast.

The finish is nice on these and they do have that nice warm glow. So if you can get past buying a new bulb that looks old it's a good choice.

I'm subbing on a gig, and when I show up and plug my bulb into my Markbase rig, the guitard and drummer start laughing at the size of my rig. They're still seeing big white blobs after I turned that sucker up!

It is about Leo Clarence Bumper a man who bought a whole new light to the music industry. A humble man who didn’t realize that his revolutionary ideas would socket to all the competition. His P-Bulbs where so iconic that all incandescents were simply called Bumper Bulbs for many years. His innovations are still lighting up stages around the world after 70 years.

Me, I only use pre-GE bulbs. They're not vintage unless they're pre-GE, no matter how old they are.

I donno chriscrob, pre-GE are said to be incredible...but for the money, I wonder if I'm buying it to hide forever and turn on rarely. In that sense, is it worth it? What's a lightbulb worth if it's worth so much that you can scarcely use it?

Which bulbs shoud I bring with me to an audition. I mean I love my CV bulb but I'm afraid I might be judged by that and not get the gig. Even though I prefer my CV is it better to show up with my MIA?
