How many Precision bassists does it take to change a light bulb.

I saw an ad in CL for a vintage bulb, says it has that retro tone everyone is looking for, hasn't been gigged lately and it's all original. Wants $1500 for it, shipped and insured.

I think you can get a Chinese bulb that will be just as dim for one tenth the price. Those vintage and boutique bulbs are never worth the money, man. A cheap bulb is all you need.

That filament is at the wrong angle and you can see the top of the threads sticking out of the socket. Looks like a fake to me.

Do I have to go through paypal and be a supporting member if I want to sell my bulbs?

What about fixtures for the bulbs?

I won't accept any trades besides an early edition spotlight or floodlight.
No Flashes!

I was also having a difficult time communicating with the other bulb users in my group one bulb is just too brighter while the other just keeps dimming until the rest of us prop him back up

I was thinking of getting an Excess (XS) from orndo.com, but I'm not sure those Chinese bulbs are worth it. The one I was looking at was $1.29, but by the time I added in a shade and shipping it would be almost $3.00.
I know they are good bulbs if you want to mod them, change bases, replace the filiment, etc, but still.....

Can you identify this bulb for me please? I got it from a friend who said it's a 70's UniLux made in Canada, but I took it to a tech and he said it is a POC Japanese copy of a Beatle Bulb and said he could pay me $ 50 for it, to work on it.

How do you post pictures of bulbs here on TalkBulb? Please help me out here!
