maple or rosewood light bulbs ?
Well, it'll have to be VERY thin strips, but evidently rosewood would give out a much darker hue than maple.

You mean, like a soft-white bulb?
Used my Ampeg Maglite 3Pro with the metal dudes last night, I don't know what you guys say about it being underpowered, it held up to the two Marshall spotlights and a very bright drummer just fine.
Back in my day we never changed lightbulbs. They were too expensive, so what we would do is boil them to restore their brightness.
