I was thinking of getting an Excess (XS) from orndo.com, but I'm not sure those Chinese bulbs are worth it. The one I was looking at was $1.29, but by the time I added in a shade and shipping it would be almost $3.00.
I know they are good bulbs if you want to mod them, change bases, replace the filiment, etc, but still.....

My Squier bulb only cost $2.00 & shines as good as my buddy's $12.00 Fodera bulb...

Yeah you don't want to over tweak your bulb. I hear that's a lightbulb death sentence.

Keep them both, and go steal some more!!!! Can never have too many backup bulbs!!

Says there's no point in changing one of yours, you can't get paid. You have to change someone else's bulb to make any cash.

So I can use an 80 watt fluorescent bulb in a 40 watt fixture---but I can't use an 80 watt incandescent bulb in a 40 watt fixture?

Also, is it ok to mix different types of light bulbs? I heard somewhere that when different light waves mix it won't sound good...but it seems like having a 15 watt and four 10 watt bulbs would be the best way to fill up a room with the kind of light I'm looking for.
