I have about 9 pedals on my usual go-to board, plus SCR-DI next to it as interface, plus another half dozen pedals on a related board for stuff when I'm messing around at home, plus another half dozen I sometimes move back into regular rotation. Nothing boutique, just good versions of sounds I like (MXR Envelope Filter, VariComp 3080 Compressor, etc.). Probably under $2000 to replace it all, but I don't know if I would. I spent $399 on a Boss GX-10 multi-effects processor a few weeks ago on a whim to see if I could have a simplified rig and simulate most of the pedal effects I'd normally like to have available. I didn't care about the amp modelling capability. So far, I'm pretty impressed. I'm not a tone purist and I don't need to get EXACTLY the same sound as my OC-5 pedal, but a usable facsimile at least. This thing has lots of tweaks available on each of the pedals in it, so it's possible to do a lot of dialing in and saving. Plus I expect more and more to be available for download from Boss and from users. I also like the ability to save many varying versions of pedal chains I like with individual settings dialed in and have them available for a specific song with just a toe tap. Additionally, the build quality is great; it's pretty premium. Jeez, this thing is liberating. No cable noise or feedback, no multiple power connectors to check, built-in expression pedal, built-in instantly available tuner, built-in DI. On the con side, it has far more guitar stuff in it than bass stuff. But I have guitars, too. And some of the guitar pedals in it also sound really good for bass.
