How would you rig this? rack mounting question

Hi there,
I'm looking into buying a compressor and a rack mountable tuner

Invalid Link Removed -> DBX 160A Mono Compressor
Invalid Link Removed -> Korg DTR-1000 Rackmount Digital Guitar Tuner
to be housed in this Invalid Link Removed -> SKB 1 SKB-XRack2 2u Shallow "X" Rack

My questions:
Is the rack "deep" enough to fit the gear in?
How would I connect the units between themselves and with the head? (Invalid Link Removed) <- This is what I already have, and changing it is not currently an option
Is there a particular order, precise disposition, recommended set up?

Have to get measurements from the tuner, compressor, skb web sites to see if they're too deep for that rack. A tuner and compressor ought to be pretty small, wouldn't think its a problem

How would I connect the units between themselves and with the head?

Use cables

Ok, just kidding about the cables. It really helps to get all that gear in one rack so you can leave them connected. If you put the tuner and compressor in a different rack than the amp, you have to hook them up every time. At least try to get the compressor in the rack with the amp, try the effects loop. Then its only one cable from tuner out of amp to the tuner in the other rack.

Nice to be able to try the compressor pre or post eq, but if there aren't connections to support that on the Hartke, you would have to go direct into the compressor to go pre-eq. Not sure if the dbx has sensitive enough inputs to deal with direct bass signal without being noisy, and without enough input gain, might be hard to adjust the threshold to get it to activate when you want. (If you have to put the threshold control way at an extreme to just get it to activate, there's very little room to make fine adjustments).

In the effects loop, signal strength won't be an issue, but if you use lots of boost in the eq it will have an effect on the sound after its compressed. Some like it, some don't. Less of an issue if you run relatively flat, then doesn't matter much if compression is pre or post eq.

i would have to say go shallow. I have a deep rack and hauling that thing around sucks. The extra room is alright but it makes transporting more difficult.
