Huge classic hits, but rarely or never covered

On Topic:
...anything by Warren Zevon
(I always thought a Warren Zevon 'tribute' band would be awesome ...... No one else seems to think so ......)

Linda Ronstadt covered Warren Zevon's;
Poor, Poor Pitiful Me
Carmelita
Hasten Down the wind
Mohammed's Radio

11 bands have covered, 'Lawyers, Guns and Money'
From Jerry Garcia to Rick Derringer to The Turtles

That said, How about, 'A Certain Girl' by Alan Trousaint that Zevon covered.
Don't hear many, if any, bands cover that since the Yardbirds back in the 60's

I have never seen or heard covers of these iconic (in my mind) rock tunes:

David Essex -- Rock On
The Outfield -- Your Love
anything by Warren Zevon

Both of my bands cover Zevon. One does Lawyers, Guns and Money and Exitable Boy and the other does Carmelita and Dirty Lifenand Times

Always wanted to do a cover of "Love Is Like Oxygen" never could convince any band I was in to go for it.

My list:
"Burn" - Deep Purple
"Tale of Brave Ulysses" - Cream
"The Dreamweaver" - Gary Wright
"Takin' It To The Streets" - The Doobie Brothers
"Fly Like An Eagle" - Steve Miller Band
"Suite Madam Blue" - Styx
"What's On My Mind" - Kansas
"Don't Dream It's Over" - Crowded House
"In A Big Country" - Big Country
"Red Skies At Night" - The Fixx
"Flesh For Fantasy" - Billy Idol
"Family Man" - Hall & Oats
"Only A Lad" - Oingo Boingo
"I Ran" - Flock of Seagulls
"Metal" - Gary Neuman
"Candy-O" - The Cars
We gave Big Country a go, very tough to pull off. We had to drop it before trying it live.

Hmm that didn't work?

I remember that song being huge when I was growing up in the 80s. The rock stations played it a lot and it was in the sound track for the movie Vision Quest. I always associate it with those memories of humid summer nights on the streets of the town in New Jersey where me and my dumass buddies used to hang out, right before the dumbest ones among us decided to try to start a band.
