Here's the problem with your "solution". Yes, it gets YOUR bass back (hopefully). However, what's to stop this little turd from doing this to another TBer or, worse yet, someone who isn't privy to his nonsense?

Keep this in mind (as I say goodnight) that if this happens to another unfortunate individual, it will be on YOU, for not doing something about it when you had the opportunity.

To the clowns in this guys "band". Throw his ass to the curb and be done with it. He is dragging you down in a big way. Not to mention that someone is going to whip his ass if he keeps up this crap unchecked. Hell, he DESERVES an ass whipping and I hope a local sees that he gets it.

Obviously Mom and Dad never did their jobs.

Well I hope you get it back. When you do I would still call the cops. Even if they don't do anything but interview the swine it may make an impression.

I hope you're not sending back the Frankenbass I would hang that on the wall for ever...

Very interesting thread, but one thing I have a problem with is the vigilante justice thing. It's sorta like batman, who is not quite a good guy but not quite bad.

What is to stop this from happening again? Would a police visit really help this guy? I don't know, but me personally I like to be out of the conflict. If you guys want to play vigilante cowboy, it's still entertaining for me, even if this thread is a load of crap...

That's what i figured, and i'm hopeful you do indeed get your bass back, but the best chance of getting this guy to stop doing this is to get the authorities involved. Isn't mail fraud a federal offense?

This whole thread sounds like someone is going to pop up and yell, "YOU JUST BEEN PUNKED!"

But in all seriousness, I'm pretty new here and have just made three purchases in the past month or so with great results. It sucks that this happened and I don't wish it on anyone. Fraud is as bad as someone breaking into your home stealing your stuff.

This guy defrauded you and he's been trying to defraud other members here as well. I hope you do get your bass back as it was shipped but by not pursuing this legally when you have solid evidence that you can turn over is just allowing this guy to set up the next person. Crooks like him need a lessen.

Granite Falls, aside from being a meth happy place, only has about 3,000 or so residents so you aren't far off. Many of the small towns in these parts have very few officers and have an on call roster for after hours, but all use the same 911 system so realistically it's normally not a problem in a real emergency. Finding a scum bag who ripped you off on a bass deal probably won't get anyones attention until Tuesday but a complaint can be lodged in the mean time.
