Hey Bill -
Putting in my $.02 if you do ever decide to add a pedalboard.
This is my simple setup I use for The Fab 8. Just 3 pedals, including a tuner mounted on a Pedaltrain Nano (which includes a carrying case) and a simple power supply:
There are a ton of KILLER overdrive, fuzz & distortion pedals out there if you ever choose to add a bit of grit to fatten things up. I chose the Soundblox 2 OFD Micromodeler (after testing multiple pedals,) for a few reasons that you may appreciate:
- It has multiple presets based upon classic pedals (including the 60's Tone Bender, which I use for "Think For Yourself.")
- Easy to use
- You can preset 2 of your favorites to kick in when necessary
- It has a built in noise gate, so it's quiet (this was a MUST for my use)
- It's affordable
Chris
