I am a Dinosaur

Are you replying to Fat Freddy? I wouldn't waste your time. He's just a troll.

Isn't it basically a troll thread?

It would be considered a troll thread if it were in the effects forum, where there is a rule against such threads for obvious reasons. Outside of there, it's just a thread. Outside of that, I can't read the OP's mind to divine their intentions. But it would be a pretty sad state of affairs on a bass forum if someone couldn't express the opinion that they don't like to use effects.

I have about 25 pedals...from o.d. to fuzz...delay...and comp. I use the comp(milkbox) as an always on boost to fatten up my tone. And a hard wire tuner to keep things in check. I'd love to be able to use a boosted muff in some of our songs,as we are a 3 piece. And there's definitely room for it. But I just haven't yet...we just played a big show which we have been rehearsing for about a month...now that the show is over. We are writing new music for the next month or two. And I'm going to sneak some fuzz in on the where appropriate....

I played bass,cable,amp for years...
Loved it..perfectly simple and delicious..
and while I had a nice grindy tone from my lab series l4...my new band is begging for some fat, face melting fuzz!.....

There already are things people can’t express their opinions about - for good reason. A troll thread is a troll thread regardless of what forum it’s on or the OP’s actual intent.
