I was wondering about the storage part. Heard a few stories about units with gear getting hit. So make sure you tuck in them babies in a good secure place.

Not really on topic, but once you're out here, be sure to check out The Bass Shop in West Seattle. It's a cool shop owned by one of the co-founders of our legendary and much-missed Bass Northwest. Also, Mike Lull's shop is just across the lake in Bellevue, if you didn't already know that. He's a great tech, in addition to being an amazing luthier and super nice guy. Any work on my basses that I don't do myself, he's my first call.

And welcome! People often have pretty polarized opinions about Seattle,, but I truly love it here.

I'd take a P and a J, but I'm a simpleton. Your list looks great, if those are your faves, go for it! Enjoy Seattle. Check out trading musician, cool and funky used gear store.

With your five on the list, you covered the four classic sounds plus a five in reserve when needed. Sell the rest and keep money as you will need it when you relocate. I visited Seattle on my honeymoon in 2001 and found it and the area beautiful. Enjoy your new digs and hope you find a new gig quickly.

If it were me, I'd pick the two basses I play the most and then order them by how difficult it would be to find replacements, in terms of price and scarcity. So if I had to pick, I'd probably go with

Lakland (only 5er you listed)
L-2000 (Swiss army knife of basses)
Sabre (HUGE PITA to replace)
SLO (Also hard to find and expensive to replace)
Ric (Not a Ric fan but also costly)
