This thread seems to disintegrate by the hour, or by the minute. Its now less than five hours since my seious post that even remotely addessed the topic of this thread. Or has the topic officially changed to boobs and farts? I think there's another thread for that.

How does this thread help disinchant have a more enlightened view of men besides the one from the gutter? Come on guys, you must have something at least a little respectful of disenchant and us females here to write about... No male I know would be talking to me like this in a million years.

We have helped dis quite a bit...but the vultures are circling, just waiting for the dead carcass that this thread will soon be.

Even Sunni has joined in on the last rites. The time comes for all threads to be deposed and picked clean.

Hang around long enough and you'll get it. It's just what happens around here. Dis is one of the best vultures that Dogue so lovingly refers to us as.

Dogue however is a more benevolant vulture. But a fellow vulture nonetheless. ;)

Dis is a close friend and believe me when I say this... is greatly loved on TB. No one means her any ill will. :)

You know, I think your answer just said it all. There really isn't much else to say on the topic. I think the disintegration of the thread is because it's kind of the after-party after the serious talk.

I know all the guys here are just having some male fun. I'm not offended, even when I'm the butt (pun intended) of the joke. Only one guy on here ever offended me, and if I ever see him in person I am going to kick him in the nutz.

Like Maki said, it's just the natural course of threads here, even serious ones. It's the circle of life.

Look at it this way jgbass; If your threads never get the vultures circling, chances are no one was reading them in the first place. It's good to get "picked on". ;)

Don't remember who, it was way back when I was a noob. I just did a search and couldn't find the thread.

My bass strap cuts off the circulation to my fretting hand so I was looking for ideas. This was back before I knew you shouldn't ask simple questions because you get BLASTED by the pros for ASKING instead of doing a SEARCH because really, they have better things to do then help a lowly noob. I got good suggestions for two-shoulder straps, or to get a wider strap or exercises I could do to get stronger but one guy was making a big deal about how maybe a 100-lb girl should't play bass. I wanted to give him a 100-lb kick in the nutz.

Men (especially musicians) + anonymity + tolerant woman = boobs and farts. It's just how it goes.

A lack of serious discussion on TB usually signifies the end of a need to discuss things seriously. Your (serious) post was kind of the "closer," the necessary input from a more experienced and grounded woman who's had to deal with this stuff before.

you're only 100 pounds!? Wow there ARE girls that are lighter than me! Thank you, I feel more like a man for being heavier than a woman. (I'm like 110 lbs.) (I'm somethin like 5'6", so my BMI is really low...like below average into the 'you need to eat more' range)

Hey no problem. I actually enjoy all the humor here. I was just kind of checking to see if our thread starter was okay with this. I've been playing music with the guys for decades and appreciate a good laugh. Cheers!!
