I committed discrimination...

Well, good for you! No harm ment, though, I just thought it was interesting. Ironic.

I hardly figure out there's anything interesting in the fact that many meals in French cooking require 20+ minutes to prepare, and that when you're not at home and have only 30 minutes for lunch between 2 appointments, you go to a fast food restaurant because you have no other choice.

But if you want to make a generality out of anything, you might also consider that "all" French people are anti-American : that's why there are so many McDonald restaurants in France, and why they are always full at meal time.

But yes, I prefer French food. Personal taste.

Ye gods! People eat lunch at McD's?

I thought France was full of little bistros and whatnot where people can eat proper food instead of that junk what they serve at hamburger restauraunts :(

Did anyone else imediately think "Pulp Fiction" when they read this comment?

"They have McDonalds in France but it's different. They have Quarter Pounders, but they don't call em Quarter Pounders. The call them "Le Royale..."

I love that movie.

"So what do they call a big mac?"
"I don't know, La big mac"

I just want a big kahuna burger. They looked great!! :)

From this Dutchman to y'all: There's a-holes wherever you go, be it here, France, Germany, anywhere. Such is life.

Cheers Rody

PS oddest experience I had in France was on a campsite where the guy that looks after the terrain hated tourists. Wait a minute, perhaps it's time to review your career?????? Generally the french are very nice people (exception, see above) living in a very nice country.
