After years and years of sunburst plus tort guard, my current preference is for this - I've got this look on two Jazz basses and one Precision. Black on black.

It's not that plain black is bad, it's that those Ibanez SRs are like the Ford Probe or 90s Caprice of basses. They play well, but whatever.

Thanks I am a player, designer and builder and my personal stable/collection (above) outlines my focus/passion. These are basses I create for myself... at least for the foreseeable future! (getting closer to the coils end... for me!) But I'm not going anywhere soon...
