Comparing Fieldy's slap technique with Ryan Martinie is giving Fieldy way to much credit. Actually the techniques are much different. Ryans has a slap style, finger style, and a percussive figerstyle, the one you mentioned. The percussive figerstyle is much different than Fieldy's double string slap and pop technique.
