Also, Peavey's aren't my forte`. Is this bass actually "rare"? I constantly see basses listed as "rare" on reverb and unless it's a Fender I'm really not knowledgeable about rarity/desirability.

Lots of buh buh buh BASS cds out there especially in the late 80s and 90s to show off how good peoples subs in their cars were. Bass Computer was my favorite. At decent volume, if your stuff wasn’t good, the surrounds of the woofers would get shredded. Seen it many times.

NEVER trust someone selling a bass with no strings unless you plan on changing the neck, can’t on this one.

A Peavey Dyna bassike this in great shape will go for a few hundred - between $300 and $600-ish. I picked up one a year or so ago in great shape for $300.
