I suspect he wanted a quick sale at a high price and now realizes it won't happen.

If that really is his father. I mean I understand people have to be related to someone; like Geddy Lee is my cousin and Steve Harris is my step-brother.

Les Claypool actually sat on my mom's living room couch back in the late 80's (actual truth). She still has the couch. I wonder what it's worth??
Most likely..but it'd be very hard to provide provenance. That couch is full of "pootz"Did he "pootz" into one of the cushions?

No photos....That was back before everyone had a camera in their pocket. You'd have to find Les for "pootz" verification. Now, you're just being a pessimist!
Seriously, though: if you had a photo, what we're joking about could kind of be somewhat true (value added).
It makes me happy that this guy isn't totally gone yet.His dad IS kind of a celebrity to me. I used to have the Bass Outlaws ILLEGAL BASS cd and would use it to tune subwoofer systems that me and my ingrate friends would install in our POS cars.
I think negotiations are one of the many, many, many skills the current owner of that thing doesn't possess.Very poor sales tactics, to list a bass for $2,000 and say that you will accept as low as $1,000. You can't start the negotiations like that.
Like listing a car for sale with no wheels. No strings, and no batteries.
