I haven't been throught the whole thread yet to see if theese are mentioned already but Seismic Audio has these:

only $200 and weight 66lbs (lite for 2x15) and has excellent reviews

haven't played'em yet tho but I've love the seismic monitors I got earlier this year.

How did you manage to find a couple 8 ohm 2x15s? I've never seen one, not even online.

I kinda miss the blistering tone of my 2x15 Montarbo too. That low rumbly feeling in the pants...
I don't miss carrying it around though.

Just brought home another 2x15: '66/'67 Ampeg BT-15C

Wow, I haven't seen that in years. That is exactly my old cabinet. But I used a Sunn concert bass head with it. Mine was loaded with SRO's. My first "big rig" back then. The refrigerator handles were the worst! I actually still have the old dolly under my PV 1516. Miss the sound of that old beast, but not moving it. I've moved on to neo's.

its has 2 outputs at 4ohms each.. you can't run these cabs in series, they only have one jack. I've run them together plenty of times, but to be honest Since I got the Peavey, I just use that and leave the yamaha at the practice spot.

as for favoring 10"s over 15"s or vice versa, that's silliness. i've played cabs that use both that sound alternately great and alternately crappy. i would much rather have a good 410 over a crappy 215 and a good 215 over a crappy 410. judging the sound of cabs on speaker size alone is pointless.
