If you get paid in cash, ignore what I am about to say...
If you are getting hooked up with a company doing this work and being paid by cheque, I would suggest that you open a small business and have them pay your business, rather than you directly. You will be able to take advantage of tax benefits, within your current surroundings.

Become a casino dealer. (my wife and son are currently in training for this, I think my son may be really good at it if given a chance, the wife may be not so much, but there's always hope I guess)

Casino dealing wouldn't be my first choice by any means but some people find it lucrative.
