Lane Baldwin posted on the Eden forum that the WTX-260 does not have a Class D amp ... I am assuming that they must be using a switching power supply and an "analog" amplifier section much like WW ... Looks like a very different design concept

I believe Walter switched to a class D power section quite a number of years ago (many attribute the fact that the newer models seem less 'warm and full' than the older ones to this switch... although I'm not totally sure).

However, from the Eden promo material, your description of that unit seems correct... switching power supply but 'analog' power section.

Edit: I'm looking forward to checking out the 300 when it's introduced!

Since Mike has said the Micro will have a number of user-adjustable setting screws on top, as well as configurable jumpers inside the case, I'm going to polish the crystal ball up with some Windex, peer in, and predict:

1) Configurable shelving frequencies for bass and treble; configurable mid-frequencies and Q's - maybe individual controls for each channel;

2) Pre/post DI output selector;

3) Maybe some kind of additional setting(s) for the intelligent input switching.

Anybody else want to make some predictions prior to the real info from Mike on Monday?

Very Cool.

You mentioned the option of recessed knobs on the top...what adjustments will be avaliable...eq centers?

No presets?

All I need now is for you guys to do a taller (and deeper) Wizzy 15 (as a standalone) and I will be complete!

There will be 3 top mounted trim pots -they will control input trim (for greater control over the inpout gain knob) and DI output.

No presets. This is a VERY small amp :D

It is very clean. The preamp is pristine. The power amp section is based on the 200 power amp so the sound should be similar (set flat, of course). We are regulating the power supply to emulate the best traits of a linear amplifier.

All that being said, I beleive that the amp will sound very much like the 200 - with a bit more power and headroom and a lot less size
