I think so yes, since it's for all BTB basses. They made it a bit wider than normally cause of the huge body the BTB series have. I know some people also used this case for their Yahama TRB bass guitar(s) since that bass also has a huge body. I think it can handle the neck. To be on the safe side, you could just send an email to Sweetwater to be 100 % sure about this. Good luck

Is it possible to buy a new BTB676 unlined fretless in Canada? I was on the Ibanez site and they don't have any fretless BTB's at all, even on the US site which has a few more options. Is there anyway I can customize one to come fretless or do I need to buy a fretted one and defret it myself?

I think you should sort out if a guitar center in America can ship it to Canada. Otherwise have it defretted by a experienced luthier.
I didn't see any fretless models available in the States either though, and most US online retailers I checked seem to show a lined fretless model, but then show that it's unavailable. I'd want it unlined though, so I guess it'll be up to me. Thanks though.
I was hoping that they had a way to customize their basses, but this doesn't look like an option from what I see... Whatever is on their site is simply what it is.
Unfortunatly they don't do custom shop models for individuals, artists only. I guess for unlined you must do it yourself

I went to a local shop and they had the BTB676 single cut there. I thankfully brought my strap hoping they'd have some BTB's in stock, and I could tell how they'd feel standing up.
First thing that shocked me was how light it was. Sure it wasn't light, but it wasn't heavy, especially considering the size... I've certainly held heavier.
One thing I noticed though was that it wanted to sit horizontally, not that it had neck dive, but it just sat there that way. I tried a BTB5 next with the same strap and it sat a lot more vertical, like 30 degrees or so. I think the strap button on the upper horn angled towards the neck helped lift it up higher, which to me was mor comfortable to play...
Got my mine made up, in a few weeks I'll order a BTB676 NTF... At some point I'll buy another BTB 6'er and defret it. I'll post pics of my BTB when I get it

Ok, not sure where to put this question so I'll start here. I got introduced to the BTB world with a 405qm. I loved the preamp controls! However, I had the model with the basic Ibanez pups. After going through two more BTBs, I now have the BTB5pqm, which has the piezo bridge pups, and two USA Barts as the regular pups. However the Fishman preamp is very limited in my opinion. As, is, this bass give much better, punchier, and cleared sound than the 405qm's that I had. But I still mid the VARI-MID preamp, because you could dial into so many different sounds. I am about to pull the Fishman preamp and put the VARI-MID III preamp into this 5pqm. However (again), I really dont want to give up the piezos. ive got it figured out how to change the preampsand the wiring for the pups, but if i want to keep the piezeos, and add the VARI-MID controls, I cant quite figure out how to wire the piezos and the Barts so they all work...
Any body done this or have any ideas?

Here is a pic of my 2 BTB babies and the newest in the stable. Cant wait to upgrade the pickups to Nordstrand.
My btb686sc is in the classified to help fund a prestige sr. Just couldn't lock into that 35 scale.
Is there a link that I can find what year mine was made?

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's choice for a gig bag for the BTB? A little concerned that the 35" scale may not fit the average bag.

Some pix of my 405, just because.
Put a new set of strings on, and it totally woke up the bass. What a great preamp for such a cheap bass. Also REALLY liking the 35" scale.
