IBANEZ Jet King Bass, New?

Almost picked up this little bass at GC yesterday. It played amazing , just as quick as you please and it had quite the thick sound for being so small. I was thinking it would fit perfect into that ... my back hurts from playing 3 hours slot

I'm bumping to see if anyone has bought or even just played one of these... Looks like a fun blues axe to me.

*UPDATE* I just dropped my bass off at the local guitar repair shop, and witnessed the luthier (well-respected) tell a sad little boy that the neck on his Jet-King was completely messed up (didn't hear the exact problem), and that he should take it in for warranty service!
And I still want one... sigh.

I had the chance to play one of these at GC yesterday. Cool-looking bass, full scale (I think) but felt a little smaller. Definitely a light bass.
I wasn't super-impressed with the neck -- it felt a little flimsy, but then again, I only spent about ten minutes playing it.
Pickups sounded pretty good, although not particularly remarkable. I didn't notice a whole lot of difference between the bridge and neck pickups, possibly because they're pretty close together.
Also, I tested it out with a strap, and there's a bit of neck dive.
I really liked the looks of the bass in person. I'd consider picking it up as a third bass if I saw it on sale. I don't think I'd spend $349 on it, though, FWIW.

I think it looks GREAT! I like the 60's guitar look, and that one has 60's and Fender Jag written all over it as inspirations. Maybe a bit of Gibson Ripper in there, too.

The Jet King is Ibanez's early 60's retro bass. It's got the shape of a '63' Ibby. It's kinda cool look'n

I wasn't impressed with it when I tried it out at GC. It looks nice, but other than that, it's very blah. Maybe with different pickups it might have impressed me.
Love it just the way it is. When I got a Epi T-Bird on a good deal I left it alone though. Still a beautiful axe.
